The Singapore Flag is halved horizontally-Red over white.It has at the top hoist,a crescent moon sided by five stars in a circle,all in white.The ratio of the width to the leng of the flag is two to three.The colour of red is symbolic of universal brotherhood and equality of man and the colour white signifies pervading and everlasting purity and virtue.The crescents present young country on the ascent in its ideals of establising democracy,peace,prosperity,justice and equality as indicated by five stars.[/img]
